Default Help please! Fitting a colour coded facelift v

Well after spending many hours colour coding a v I managed to get hold of, and a frustrating time getting the old chrome v off my car, I cannot get the new one to fit on at all. It just doesn't want to push flush and will not clip in. Anyone else got any ideas or had any problems fitting theirs after colour coding?? Thanks in advance

Just ease the clips in with a thin flat screw driver from behind , best to do just one end first and work across.
Has to be tight because after a few removals it almost starts to full off.

Cheers mate, the problem I have is it won't physically push flush. I line all the clips up but something seems to be stopping it from sitting properly, just can't see what it is, and it won't push in enough to get the clips to hold it in
