Will this work with with cdr2005

Hey folks, i purchased this over a week ago still waiting delivery think its going via china lol, just been reading up on this getting in preperation for install. I had a cdr2005, but that is removed to make way for an alpine HU, when i emailed before hand he said this wasn't married to car just plug and play. but are 2004 married to car or not, will this work? any help appreciated.

The CDR 2005 is coded mate so its not paired to the screen.

Eh? Right, you originally had a CDR 2005. What model of HU are you replacing it with as that sticker means nothing too me. If its another CDR2005 or 2006 all you have to do is plug it in and enter the code. If its a CD30 and so on then its for full can cars and wont work as its paired to the screen.

ah my bad, wires crossed lol. this sticker is from the GID screen that i bought last week. I now realise i have no mention of this being a GID, Been a long day forgive me.

Some folks on here can somehow read one of the codes to see what this can fit too.

Yep did my own search, if the car already had that type of screen then it is indeed plug and play, but if you only had the smaller screen I believe there is a little more too it. Let me fine you the thread mate for more info on the conversion.

Grand so after the wiring there should be no compatability issues. Thats if it ever gets here lol. thanks for that matey, just hard to get my head round it all. why aren't things simple anymore lol
