    Default Painted spoiler again.

After yesterdays "Hamlet moment" 9th post down http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...=130644&page=4 I got the wet and dry out rubbed the spoiler back down to primer, wasn't as difficult as I thought, took about an hour. Then into the spray booth (garage)lol I give it a couple of coats of primer, waited an hour than began adding coats of satin black. 5 coats later job done. I did it satin black to give a bit of contrast to the rest of the gloss black on my car, the boot strip and vxr bumper insert will also be satin black.

No mate, I'm considering it but satin Lacquer is in short supply around here, none of the motor factors had any.

Mate you will have to lacquer it or it is gonna get battered. Whats the difference with satin and normal lacquer? The shine?

This is all I can find mate, seems very pricey. Just wondering if a matt black wrap would give a better finish.

I looked at that ebay stuff yesterday, I'm hoping to try and get some wax on it without buffing it, wax on wax off without rubbing lol.

Hey Col, spoiler could remain satin if e.g. you had your wheels satin aswell. And if there's everything glossy in your car, I'd paint it gloss, IMHO

On the other hand how about matt roof and lip spoiler, hmmm who knows...
