    Default 3.0cdti turbo problem

hi can anybody share some light on this-i have a 2006 3.0cdti signum-and last night it went into limp mode.
the fault code shows-P0235 - Turbocharger Control Module Malfunction
    (50) - Present
is this just a module that can be replaced-or is it the whole turbo?
any ideas where this module is located?
The car has been running fine until this happened-no black smoke or anything like this.
any feedback would be greatly apreciated

My lists of fault codes say it's not a "control module" per se, it's the boost sensor that's reporting the fault. A Vx dealer should be able to give you a price, even if you end up buying it somewhere cheaper.

You're probably thinking of an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve that can be cleaned - if it's the boost sensor then you're better off buying a new one. I'm just having a look on the parts catalogue to see if anything jumps out at me as being the boost sensor on your engine model, problem being that Vauxhall use fancy terms for these components sometimes.

you can clean them , should be located at the back right of the engine under the engine cover

I'm hazarding a guess that it's item number 17 in the picture below; it's described by Vauxhall as being a "Sensor, vacuum, inlet manifold pressure" - and obviously therefore located near the inlet manifold. The part number is 97353014, about £70-90 from Vauxhall, so if what Mark says above is true, worth cleaning before commiting to paying that much for a replacement.

It's under the red arrow. You'll spot it easily...it says HITACH BOOST SENSOR on it http://www.motor-talk.de/bilder/kann...203742073.html

Number 15 doesn't have any part number or description, meaning it's not a valid part any more.
