two hours labour, discounted parts alone are £140 and the MOT is normally £50, so you would have only charged me £50 in labour?

That leaves £160 for all labour, at a mainline dealer, id say thats very good.

Most local garages couldn't get close to that.

Belt kit is £98 on TC, Water pump is another £40 (Normally paying £114 + Vat for cambelt kit alone) Mot was £29.99 thats £170. ad Labour was £198

£366 for a mainline dealer is cheap. Especially as no local or smaller garage could do it as fast or as cheap. Parts were cheaper at VX than Auto-Vaux when i phoned auto vaux up.

Yes i agree with you the main dealer is best price.

One you have the satisfaction of knowing the mechanics work on them all day long unlike a indie.

Sometimes it's worth paying a little more and to feel job satisfied plus you will have there warranty on parts and labour when you keep the receipt.

Now some on here may be watching the pennies so they may want to go to a cheap place thats there choice.

Yeah, do't get me wrong i would rather not pay it, but on 65k and getting tad nervous lol
I thought it was a good price tbh, £198 for labour.
Me heard the 1.9 isn't the easiest of cambelt changes either, hence why it takes smaller garages longer to do?
