    Default Knocking at Front......... Help

For a few months, i have had a knocking at the front at low speeds. It isn't loud but quite annoying really. The car is a 2006 1.9cdti sri.

My car is lowered on Eibach 30mm springs so not sure if it has affected it recently.

Has anyone encountered this problem and found what teh remedy is? I have just recently had shockers changed and that hasn't made any difference.

I can get it to do it when driving at low speeds and violently steering left and right, but it is there when driving over bumps in the road.

    Many Thanks

If it's there when you go over bumps then it's probably caused by worn anti-roll bar (ARB) bushes. There's a How2 on here for how to replace them, and they only cost a few pounds to buy from Vauxhall dealers.

Also try replace the drop links. I just solved an annoying knock by changing them. Again, there's a how2 on here on how to do it.

Mines doing this at the moment, & its the droplinks my friend.

If the noise is like your exhaust banging on the body (but its obviously not your exhaust!) then this is what it'll be.

I have similar issues... Lowered on eibachs, been fine for over a year. Recently got slightly knocky at slow speed at front.

Thus far done drop links, anti roll bar bushes, cleaned stuff, greased stuff. Check springs and spring seat mod.. All ok! Put shims in brake pads so silent.

Still a knock... Intact, non of the above made any significant difference. Car drives perfect and true, no play in steering wheel.. I'm at a loss!
