    Default help please

    hi all, i picked up my vectra estate sri cdti a couple of weeks ago all going well apart from a squelling aux belt but my main problem is the alarm no matter what i do i cant stop it going off continously its driveing me mad. ive tried everything i can think of like shutting doors again , boot, bonnet fuel filler windows and its still going off. just wondered is there something im missing o and ive tried pressing the botton in the dash but doesnt make any diff.

    please any thoughts would be gratefull or is it a auto electrician job thanks

    Its fairly common on the estates that the glass sensors or connection on the rear side windows cause this fault. Try unplugging them and shorting the circuit with a bit of wire, if the probles stays you can rule out the glass sensors. It could also be a low/flat battery in the sounder, loose connection on the ultrasonic sensors or if the rear screen demister is damaged.

    wow, didnt realise there was so many things that could cause it, what would you suggest get someone out or get myself a manual and start searching myself. thanks again for that
