    confused Confused!!!

Going back on the foglight subject. I recently posted about op-com my fog lights. now because im so miffed with it, i plan to retro them on monday, but befor i do, i thought i should ask this question.

How can the UEC say that fogs are enables as is the rest of the settings. OP-COM read that the switch is sending a signal. and signal is being recieved, and both bulbs test ok even powered them off a 9v battery to prove they did. but why cant the car switch them on, because all i keep getting after switching on the option on in the uec is a bulb failure warnings on both lamps.

can anyone offer any ideas? cause it has got me!

    cheers

    Sean

I think someone like Plasma or kemp would be your best bet with a question like this.
I retrofitted front fogs and did loads of reading on here and the biggest issue is the UEC, in that whether you have one that supports front fogs in the first place is the biggest issue. Not having a clue about Tech2 and what it activates without the correct UEC i'm only grasping at straws, sorry.
I take it you have tried plunging them in to the loom behind the bumper after activating the fog light setting?

Your problem is the UEC this needs changed, Opcom and tech2 work a little differently, In tech2 if the Option for fogs is not available it will say "not programable" meaning it's missing in the UEC so can't activate it.
Opcom works differently as it can set non programable options to present rewriting the modules code.

Now sometimes this can work but other times it can't and can cause damage, Only option is to fit new UEC it takes 10 mins top then get it reprogrammed by tech2

    Irmscher Insignia CDTI 130

MOD'S...Irmscher front spoiler, Irmscher mats, Irmscher door pins, Irmscher rear spoiler, Irmscher grille, Irmscher skirt & exhausts,Irmscher Roof spoiler MOD'S TO COME..Side skirts,Wheels

Have you checked that you have the correct wiring?
    Correct fuses installed?
    Compatible light switch?
You also have to activate fogs in IPC(instrument)
