    Angry Cruise control

Ive had it at the next opertunity im getting rid of the vec, after all the problems ive had, now my cc is not working, it's not the clutch spring, and i have cleaned the contacts with compressed air, it will turn on then go off after a few seconds, when it stays on and i try to increase speed it cuts off had it now, if i cant get this working the vec is gone, it's one thing after another.

To be pedantic, you tried cleaning it with compressed air. For all the good that did, you might as well had left the window open on a windy day.

You need to strip the switch down and clean the contacts properly.

Could be the brake light switch. Had mine recalibrated - 10 second job by a mech I take my motor to. Sorted out 90% of the problem.

See when it does go off have you tried lifting the clutch pedal with your foot and trying again. Works for me, but I do need to get the switch apart and cleaned, just worried it wont go back together again the same

Had this fault about 5 yrs back when it was under warranty.
CC kept falling out, not engaging, speeds up by itself.
Vx replaced the switch at the end of the stalk.
Fixed it, and all has been well, touch wood.

Try cleaning the switch, or buy a new switch.

It will be the Stalk Switch, mine has just started doing the same when I increase the set speed cruise control switches off after a couple of seconds.

I quite fancy having a go at this. Can anyone tell us how the switch comes off?
