    Default scraping noise help please

when i go over sleeping policeman speed bumps i get a horrible noise scraping or something
thought it was shokers but took it to the garage and he checked every thing out as if an mot even took it out himself and couldnt work it out
just wondered if it could be the plastic covers under the car rubbing against each other as i had a new radiator fitted and they havnt put all the little plastic screw things back
    could it be this
help please if it is that what r the bits called that i need and r they easy to fit

I had the same problem, turned out to be the front ARB bushed, changed them and sorted it. could also be the front valance scraping on the floor when going over them faster than you should.

i had the exact problem . it sounded like a crunching noisewhen ever i went over a speed bump or a dip. even down to taking it to the garage they cound'nt find nothing . in the end i looked on here and people told me front arb bushes it cost me around £5.50 from vx main dealers and a flexi 10 rachet spanner . there is a how 2 on here to do them . it took me 30 mins to do mine now it is fine peace at last

there isnt much room but it is easy to do if you get a 10mm fexi rachet spanner . dont try it if you dont have one . they cost £10 ish from halfords or b&q . i would say only take the nut nearest the front of the car off when doing them and loosen the back nuts as it is very tight to get the back nut back . all you need is 2 jacks, 1 19mm socket and a 10mm fexi spanner and thin nose piers. it is easier to take the drop link of the top of the suspension rather than the anti roll bar

if i was you go for thr cheapest option first and do the arb bushes and if the noise is still there do the drop links . because i went the other way i done my springs then drop links and it was still there.so i done the arb bushes tuesday and the noise went .
