I would give these tyres a try as the are made by Continental, they look ok.

Blackcircles are expensive compared to camskill, i order off them and pay to get them fitted at a tyre centre of the independant type.

thanks for replies. I heard that capitol were continental and that when they release a new mould the old mould gets sold as budget tyre as a lot of what you pay for in the name.

if they are are in your budget I am sure they will be better than ling long or WAN KING But give NEUTON NT 5000 A look, for the price I dont think they can be bettered, a few on here have said they are a very good tyre, and that good enough for me.

Blackcircles do prices for supply only or supply & fit at a local fitters in your area, Camskill just supply tyres, hence the difference in price.

I just got 2 GT Radial Champiro HPX tyres sized 225/45/17 from my local fitters (A2 Tyres, Sittingbourne) for £139.20 for the pair, which was the same as Blackcircles, but their fitters were miles away. The new tyres replaced 2 worn Goodyears sized 215/50/17.

I did alot of looking around on the net & found alot of reviews for mine on www.tyretest.com . Unfortunately they don't list Capitol tyres, but its a useful site if you're looking to make a tyre purchase & want unbiased reviews.

So far i am very happy with my purchase. Also got the wheel alignment done as i lowered the car last year, but tyre wear wasn't really compromised, which surprised me a bit. I have had no issues with wheel balance & the car feels so much smoother since the tracking was done.

I have direct experience of the Neuton NT5000, they are quiet, very grippy, have excellent wear characteristics and are very good value at half the cost of the nearest branded plus 215/50 x 17 is cheaper than 225/45 x 17 in this range.
