    Default how to remove chrome trim from boot lid?

    anyone done this?
    looking to remove mine and replace it

    When I took mine off, I removed the two nuts inside tail gate at either end, then lifted and pulled the strip off the clips, go easy with it though it will kink quite easily if you bend it.

    cheers mate..just orderd some of that 3m carbon fibre wrap stuf so im gona recover it in that

    Good choice mate, and easy to do I would imagine. Mines colour coded at the moment but I'm doing it satin black in the next few days for a bit of contrast.

    i took mine off a couple days ago and snapped all the plastic clips and bent it, so be carefull.

    I did it myself mate, being black it wasn't difficult to match. I can't see it costing much to have it done professionally though.

    i got 1200cm x 300 cm witch gave me a good length to cover the hole strip and was even some left over for the interior trim just below the dash il get some pics up in my quick photo album on here..

    for the 1200cm x300 it cost £13.95 with free postage and realy good stuf and handy to use!
