Comparison sites don't seem to get modified cars do they

I did a quote with no ncb (just out of interest), Age 24 and one fault claim in the last 3 years and I got

Subaru Forester S turbo £750

Vec C 2.2SRi DTi heavily modded including a tuning box etc. £1800

I know what i'd rather have

So glad I use the specialist insurers

I got quoted £826.16 on gocompare for a 231 rx8

Added a tracker, boosted it to £987.22 lol, hows that work out?

Its all down to the type of owners and presuably the ease of getting parts!

When I had my 2.2 Saab 9-3 (6 years old at the time) basically the same car as your Vec it would have cost me only £100 a year extra to insure a brand new XK8

Same with me dude lol. It was £205 cheaper to insure the 231 RX-8 then my 2.2 sri vectra. I would have gone for the rx-8 but with 2 babies mmmmmmm the wife wasnt keen lol.
