    Default LS Twin Horn Upgrade

Ok this is really aimed towards the LS guys here, but should be applicable to the Facelift Life model too.

Took the front bumper off today to upgrade my horn from the punny single horn that was fitted, to a pair of Electric horns. Expecting to have to run wires from the original one on the NS to the OS, but I was amazed to find that the wiring for a second horn was already attached to the Headlight wiring loom on the OS. Not often you find additional wiring after 03.
To add the horns I bought I just soldered small lengths of wire to the original wiring, but if you were to look on ebay or go to a scrappys you could pick up OE horns cheaply enough. May even be possible to do this upgrade with out removing the bumper.

    Horns I used.

Connector in Green, Horn Mounting point in Red.

I did this, using a pair of Omega-B trumpet horns..

Much louder than the single Vectra horn.

The Omega-B horn plug also fits the connector of the Vectra-C loom

No tech 2 or additional wiring required

Vehicle is a 2005 Pre-Facelift Full CAN Vectra...
Model is the very low spec Energy.

I bought the horns to upgade my poo LS horn a while ago... When I got ounder the car and checked for the wiring I could only find one plug at the drivers side... I took this to mean I didn't have the wring loom to upgrade.... Now I have ready this I am shaking my head in shame and feel a "DOH" comment comming on...

Best of all... I notice the spare wire on the passenger side while under the car a few months back... I had thought to myself this must be for soethign but never thought more into it...

Guess what I am doing tonight...

Going to see how hard this is to do with the bumper on also as taking it off is such a faf... well it is for me with my two left hands a two right feet...

Yea I did it this way because I bought the horns before checking to see if I had the other plug. Much easier just to add a VX one. Taking the bumper off is childs play, 10 mins if that.
