"Secret Menu" - How Do I Get This?
Just heard that you can access a "secret menu" on the Vec C which shows extra info about the car. Not sure how true this is but it would be useful if it shows the running temp of the car. I'm being given the runaround by Evans Halshaw about my temp guage and would like to shut them up once and for all if poss! Is there a way I can access this menu, if it exists, on a half CANbus 04 CDTi 150?
If you have the CD70, press MAIN, then press and hold SETTINGS for about 10 secs.
It will beep to say it's in test mode.
Then press the BC button repeatedly to scroll down the various windows.
Not sure about other radios though!
I only have the CDR2005 made by Siemens.

******! Oh well, not to worry I suppose. Its back in the garage on 5th March. They've finally conceded that my running temp isnt correct and are getting it sorted. Fingers crossed thats the end of it.
What's wrong with sticking a thermometer into the coolant to check the temperature, or attaching a temperature probe to one of the radiator pipes?

It's for information only. Techies use the Battery Voltage readout on one of the screens to determine the charging status of the battery.
It also works on the CDC40 DAB and also if you press sound above BC there are more items of iterest to do with the head unit
