    Default Oil warning light

My oil warning light (activated by temperature and pressure) comes on occasionally first thing in the morning (after about 4-500 yards) and remains on for about one mile before going out. The car is a Vectra 2.8 V6 turbo Elite, vintage 2007. The local agent seems to be having all sorts of problems. First they sent away for a special tool to remove the sensor and this didn't fit so now they are proposing to remove the air con unit to give them better access. Anyone any ideas?

I had this on the motorway once too for no apparent reason. Pulled over and checked the level and it was fine... cost me 25 euros for one litre of oil through from the Shell Garage just in case! Mines also a 2.8

Main agent finally fitted new switch and then tried to charge me a small fortune because they had to remove the a/c unit to get access. Fortunately I had a warranty and the warranty company only allowed them to charge for the new switch (£32.52) and 1.5 hours labour (at £126.40 per hour).

Have covered 1,000 miles since I got the car back and all seems fine.
