    Angry coolant change

Tried changing the coolant on my 2.2Dti vectra.

Removed the undertray and to gain access to the drain tap I had to remove
the lower radiator support, supporting the radiator with a small wooden wedge. All required now is to turn the radiator tap and let the coolant flow out. The tap only turns 90degrees but then nothing, not a drop came out.
Pushing/pulling getting annoyed with the tap but still not a drop came out.

Am I missing something, has anyone else drained their coolant in this way.
    Please let me know.

I would have just taken the bottom hose off the radiator.

As above, just take the bottom hose off and don't let it go up your sleeve if it's cold! Not a nice feeling.

My tap took quite a few turns before it started to flow. I had to use open pliers to help turn it.

my drain tap turns through 180 degrees. It can be stiff, you should feel it rising in its mount as you turn it, its a fairly steep screw i think. I have a 1.8 though but they are prob the same? Perhaps some one can confirm this?
