Default Front Springs Changed - Now SRI Looks Like a Land Rover!

    Hi Guys,

My Veccy failed the MOT yesterday as one of the front springs had broken so I had them replaced by the dealer.

When I collected the car the dealer mentioned that the front end was sitting a bit high - apparently they had double checked everything, had fitted identical springs to those removed, but couldn't find anything amiss.

I was told that the springs would settle and if I wasn't happy after a few hundred miles they would take another look (too right!).

So now my girl looks like a land rover at the front:

There's about 80mm between the top of the tyre and the arch on the front, versus 50mm at the rear.

According to the invoice, the parts are down as:

    V0093190495 Front Spring, Set.

So, can anyone confirm in Vx have supplied the correct parts, the car is a 55 plate facelift 1.9 CDTI 150 SRI. Also, are the springs likely to settle by 30mm - seems a bit much to me.

If any of you guys can help me out it would be very much appreciated

    Thanks

    Dan

They were fitted yesterday, I've done about fifty miles so far.

I'll slam on the anchors a few times tomorrow and see what happens

looks to me like they are standard springs not sri springs which would be lower..

Looks like you need the ones for the 'lowered sports chassis' and not just the 'sports chassis' in which case Soulmans part number above will be correct.
