    Default Service and MOT time

Booked my car in at the local VX dealer today for it's 4 year sevice and 2nd MOT.
They've told me that the 4th service is a major one.
What work do they do on a major service ?

Have a look in your service book as it lists everything

Depends on what it needs, so confirm this before work starts
Ask what oil will be used; it should be GM-LL specification if the car is still under warranty
    Oil, Oil Filter, Pollen Filter
Optional - Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs
If the Brake Fluid was more than 2 years then include

Wheels should be removed for inspection of the pads and discs
Ask for measurements (in mm not %)

If in doubt, ask for the parts back (excluding oil filter), put a box lined with a bin liner for them to put them in

Or do what I do, and mark the dates (as originally fitted) on the parts already fitted

My Vec C 05 2.2 sri is due service. Should I have new spark plugs fitted even though they were changed last year by Vx? Have done 15k since then.

    Thanks
