    Default VXR instrument dial test

    Attention VXR Owners.

Can some one just confirm if this is true, i went to car supermarket and looked at a vectra vxr i stuck the key in the key hole and turn it to ignition and all the needles in the instrument dial moved from the 0 position to full on and then back to 0. Now somebody has told me it does that cause the cars in a safety mode to stop you driving off.

That's a VXR thing mate - I believe you can fit the clocks to any petrol Vectra and they'll do the same thing...

Ill confirm they will fit and work fine in an SRI.

The swinging dials are purely cosmetic from what i read before i got a set.

Dont see why not mate.. The bummer is the milage difference. You can get it changed to match your existing clocks.

I only had mine for a couple of weeks.. There was too much red on the speedo for my liking.. so went back to my SMD converted originals.. which IMO look sooo much better!

Only bought them for the swing dials, but the novelty of that soon wore off to!

It would probably work ok, but the rev range is different on the diesels as is the top speed reading on the speedo (I would imagine) so i don't believe they're compatible...
