Default Dension Installation - Help Required

    Hi guys,

Had a quick go at fitting a Dension Ice Link one tonight but had to give up.

The Dension requires 3 wires to be fitted, A permanent live, an ignition live and a ground.

Firstly I could'nt find an Ignition live on the head unit until i read on here there is'nt one, so i decided to use the one on the ciggy lighter.

Question is how do i run the cable down there from the double din unit area?

I removed the ashtray unit and gearstick surround but i could'nt get the oddments tray out.

I just need to run the power cable from the area of the radio down to the ciggy lighter?

Cheers, do you have to take them out in that order?

Heater controls first and then tray or does it not matter?

    Mate

Your making the same mistake as me,

Brown is NOT live it is Earth/Ground on a Vauxhall

Like me you assumed that because brown is live on a 240v system it must be live elsewhere.

I swapped the brown and black wires over and i was in business. Luckily i did'nt blow the thing up!!
