I cancelled my policy with them as they couldn't get any where near a quote i had from Ford direct ive paid up to date and money for direct debit went out a few days ago but i though what the hell id leave it.

Well got a phone call this morning stating i owe them £27 as the contract i had was premium credit services and with a rebate back and cancellation fee's i still owe £27

Ive never in my life had this happen they have just been paid a full months insurance for a car i don't have yet they still insist i owe them money

Going to read my small print and TC as there charging me for 12 months insurance but wont give me a years no claims

    Stay clear imho

It will be down to the actual insurance company I think and not the broker. Though I may be wrong. Although I have left AF after they messed me around. Have you tried greenlight insurance?

Ive got insurance mate im not that bothered about the £27 but its principle they are charging me £25 for cancelling my policy, Fair enough i would expect this if i have only just took it out but im near the end of my 12 months so how the hell does it cost £25 to send me a letter stating my policy has been cancelled

Plus ive paid for Feb's insurance on a car i dont own

Been better to have let it run its course by the sounds of it then you would have got the full years no claims even tho u no longer have the car. You think you are doing the right thing by letting them know and you get shafted

Thing is the girl on the phone agreed with me its not right so she knows there trying to shaft you.
Sorry guys but i cant recommend them at all and if i ever had to renew i wouldn't ring them no matter how cheap they could get it for me because over a 12 month policy i was paying 33% insurance tax lol
It sound's a good deal when they tell you the monthly instalments but when you calculate them up and add 33% tax your paying loads more than you got quoted ...

I have been with them for 3-4 years with no issues. It clearly states in the letters/email you get from them their trading terms (cancellations costs etc) and the interest payable if you pay in instalments. The problem is not many insurance companies like modifactions to cars so if we want to do this its a price we have to pay

Sorry to be a bit hard Don but its all in black and white on your terms and conditions before you agree to the policy. I do agree with you that its a bit hard but we have signed up for it.
