Default TECH 2 Advice "What to Buy"

    Hi team,

I’m looking for a cheap Tech 2 that allows me to read / clear the fault codes from my car "06 Vectra 1.9 CDTI 150" I understand that the cheap ones on eBay don’t work, My dad bought one as he has a similar car, I have found this, Has any one used this / can recommend, Or does anyone know of one that is better / cheaper

    Many Thanks

If you're just looking to read/clear fault codes, just get an OBD scanner like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-Diagnostic...item1c1969037c

I got one a few months ago and it's very handy to have in the glovebox for when the EML comes on.

I bought mine to diagnose a fault, in minutes I knew that my MAF was duff and bought a new one. Saved £££s compared with going to a garage.

asa above you will notice that the link you posted has indeed been removed as its not a bonafide version of the unit.

if all you need to do is read fault codes then the link as above by DNS will suffice

remember that if you buy a rip off unit that there will be no support ...often there is not a full software package .... and if it all goes wrong you could wipe your engine ECU
