Might be wrong, but I think you need to purchase the Car Pass from Vauxhall. About £25

Thanks Tony! Will this cause any issues if the radio has been re-coded? I dont know if it has, but I dont want to pay £25 for something that I cant use.

Not sure of that one mate. I'm sure someone will be though

If it's the factory kit with the original code (or if it's been replaced by Vauxhall under warranty at some point), the Car Pass should have it

How long do these radios have to be without power for this to happen?

I had mine out for 30mins earlier and when i plugged it back in it was fine

I was expecting to see 'code' but it just worked

May be worth contacting the original dealer who did to PDI. I had the same problem when I bought my 56 plate Veccy, no pass card Looked in the service book and phoned the dealer and they gave me both the radio/security and the key code over the phone for nothing!! Most dealers seem to record these 2 items when they do the PDI in case the card goes missing

Yours is full canbus so it doesn't have a code!

If the radio isn't the one that came with it from the factory then the code on the carpass will be the wrong one. Although if you ever need any work done on the car that requires the parts coding to the car then you will need it anyway.

So how come i have a car pass then?

Do you only need the code if it's been divorced?

The car pass has more than just the radio code on it, thats why you have one. It contains info like the key number etc.

Thanks for the advice! I spoke to the original dealer but sadly no details have been recorded
