Does Anyone stick to recommended tyre pressures?

I usually put a few pounds extra of pressure in, and after talking to a few people so do most others, and also whenever I have had tyres fitted, they always put a lot more PSI than the VX recommendation?
Any thoughts on this?
The handbook recommedations just dont seem enough?

Do you also put in too much coolant, and an extra litre of oil. Do you think manufacturers just pluck tyre pressure figures out of thin air. Stick to recommended pressures, it's safer and your tyres will last longer.

yes no just like 100ml they mite be there but i use what psi i think is ok for tyres im running 18s on low tyres so 40 is fine

got 36 in my 18's and they still look half flat

i done 35 looked flat running 40 seems fine plus saves my alloys a bit

yes, i put the correct amount in.
why compromise safety by filling them wrong

Book says 32 psi all round, and that's what I've set them at. No unusual signs of wear on any of the tyres.

This all started me thinking because I always had a manual tyre pressure, and the readings were never that great, and the forecourt pressure hose guages are legendary for beinh inaccuarte, so I forked out for a digital guage which is great, but if I stick to the recommended pressure , the tyres look flat...
29 for front, 32 for rear...

thats why id say most run higher psi i ran 40 in my std wheels and were fine
