Okay folks, to avoid opening new thread on what might be simple issue, here goes my trouble:
Bought 2008 Estate 1.9 CDTI 120 two months ago. It's been running sweet ever since except for a small hick-up that started occurring for last 7ish days. What happens basically is as car accelerates in low rpm, i can feel a slight jolt as if it lost power very briefly (less than a fraction of a second) and then it continues working and performing flawlessly for the rest of the drive... It's literally a fraction-second loss of power that got a wee bit worse today and actually happened twice on a 20km drive... Happens usually around 2K rpm...
Now, I have been reading stuff about injector wiring (it's 120, not 150?), egr valve cleaning, boost sensor cleaning, clogged up DPF (yep, i have it, but also have long streaks of road where i can literally floor it it make filter breathe). I also have OPCOM handy, but it doesn't show any errors. I thought it was AC compressor kicking in (that's how slight the hick-up was) but as i said, it did it twice today and it was much more noticeable... Where should I start troubleshooting?

Hi, se as above to avoid a new thread on the same issue, egr on mine has clogged as per my breakdown service and the computer he plugged into the car. Got it in today to be looked at however now looking at blanking it. Found a plate and gasket on eBay for the square end but then been reading need to block the other end too, is this true? Also I am getting one with holes in so as to avoid remap at the moment as cannot afford extra cost as currently got to replace a lot of front suspension etc will this do the job or do I need to pay the extra out now for the remap?
thanks

VX Vectra 1.9 CDTI 150 56plate.
Hi I am pretty sure the below issue will sort mine, so will give it a go.
Last week or so everything under 2000rpm has been flat until turbo kicks ins and car runs fine. DPF has been re-gen and no fault codes, so hopefully below will work. I did also think Air Mass Filter, but no error codes or warning lights.
Any advance on below please let me know.
1. Egr valve sticking or stuck. Symptoms are poor acceleration and possibly black soot out the exhaust also rough idle and no power below 2000rpm
Remedy. Clean or replace egr or blank egr

The fumes could be coming from a worn flexi on the exhaust which seems to be the most common cause. A few days ago I discovered a small leak on my vacuum pump that I'm hoping a new gasket will sort and put an end to the fumes in the cabin.
