Or to high mileage

Mileage dosn't seem to high but I would be worried why it needed a new turbo after only 70k would suggest that it has not been well looked after or has been thrashed!
just incase we missed the first one ??? lol
Wtf ??????????????????????????????????????????
i didnt think that turbos lasted forever
Its not a 280bhp either so i would'nt have much trust in them as they either have no knowledge or talk rubbish. The turbo can prematurely go if the car is trashed as soon as its started up, or thrashed then parked up and turned off instantly (Warm up/cool down).
how many miles do turbos do then before they need replacing
They should last the life of the car but a number of things can cause them to go like anything else. Not keeping it serviced/oil changes, not giving it a chance to warm up/cool down and giving it the beans causes oil starvation.
Turbos can go anytime. All you would need is a traffic jam on the motorway on a very hot day. You pull off at the services with everything stinking hot and switch off. The turbo keeps spinning with no oil and knackers up. A smart driver would know to leave a turbo car running for a few minutes, but many don't.....
