    Default Radiator fitting cost...!?

I need just a new radiator, no fan etc... thanks to you guys can get them from a link on here for around £56 + £7 delivery then i need new anti freeze say max £10, and then this lad i usually use at a local place is wanting £30 to fit it all in, is this bad??? So all in all its costing about £100 for a new radiator, anyone else got any experiences of prices for this job? And if £30 is ok jus to fit a radiator? Thanks

Put it another way, how much less than £30 do you think it's worth? Dealer wouldn't open the bonnet for £30.

Dont think I'd do it for £30 lol. Bumper off, rad pack dropped and pulled forward, not sure if the radiator can be dropped/removed without the aircon rad coming off as its behind it.

Thats the trouble not sure on anything! Wudnt know how to even drain my water off never mind change a whole radiator over!!! Lol, so £30 seems a small price for a proffesional to do it! Is it common for vec c to need a new radiator around 5 years! Mines corroded down the sides at the bottom apparently and has a constant very slow drip so need to top water up every otha day or two!

£30 is a bargain unless you fancy getting your hands dirty.

I did it myself, not a tough job, but takes a fair while.

Plasma is right, a/c rad has to be dropped too as it's on the same assembly. Not a hard job, but you have to be careful not to put strain on the pipes.

I think you should take him up on this, you are moaning about £30.00. You go to any garage not just mainDealer, you will pay double that. You get your hands dirty for £15.00. If I was doing and u offered me £15.00 I would tell u where to go.

Just how much do you expect a self employed person to earn an hour? 15 quid an hour would not pay his expenses unit, heat, light, rates, tools, insurance, phone bill, advertising,
give the man the job if you get it done any cheaper it will only be a few quid and by someone who has not worked for you before so you wont know the standard/quality of there work
