    Default shaking steering wheel

    first post and hope its in the right section
    above 40 mph i get steering wheel shake and at 70mph it shakes alot and it winds me up so i brought brand new alloys thinking it will help but the problem is still there ,
    i have changed front disc and pads as well and no joy .
    any help please

    Sounds like a fulty hub or even driveshaft, doesn't sound like it will be a cheap fix to me

    Did your new alloys come with spiggot rings? They keep the wheel concentric, if not get some the right size and fit them. Check your wheel balance. once this is done and if still there..... as above.

    Could be wheel bearings or even brake discs. Changed my front discs on a Astra G I had and it cured a heavy vibration

    I would get the front wheels balanced first then take it from there

    cheers mate wont go far wrong on here
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    update : i took my car to my sisters mate who does mobile tyre fitting for his self ,
    he spent an hour on the car and all the brand new alloys were totally un balanced , he cleaned my alloys and rebalanced them and check steering rod arms and steering rack and have little play in the steering rack but nothing major and but i have a nice smooth drive and no shake as he took his time to get them spot on for me , cost of £20 mates rate i gave him a tip as weather was poor plus happy to have no shake at all now
    if any one wants someone to do theres he lives in bognor regis area , pm me if you want his number
    plus thank you guys for taking your time to help me with my problem
