£300 on ebay for a replacement DPF if someone wanted to buy new. The cleaning of DPF's was covered last year on the forum, but thanks for the reminder for those who missed that post.
It is a bone of contention, does one replace the DPF when clogged beyond cleaning and keep the emissions in check or have it and it's regen software removed? I imagine that debate would run into many pages, in fact i seem to recall it already has.

It has to be said that DPF's block due to other issues, for example faulty EGR, fitting of a tuning box or when regens are not allowed to complete there cycle when owners switch off mid regen. My DPF is the original fitted to the car, the car has covered 108k and has never had an issue with the DPF, as it does its thing and cleans itself as it should.

Got to better to put a pipe in its place when you map it out. The gases are not going to flow well when they hit the empty chamber. You might lose power rather than gain it back.

Your car will be carrying less weight as well
