    Default Rear Brake Pads

How long have your rear brake pads lasted?

I am used to changing them at 30000 - 40000 mile intervals on previous cars.

Just had to do mine after a mere 9000 miles, and one was down to the bare metal

No signs of sticking or uneven wear - the others had about 1mm left on them.

Plenty of play in handbrake, as it moved about 4 - 5 notches to hold the car still, and caliper slides all moved freely.

I'd be very interested to see how long other member's rear brake pads last

Did you use genuine Vauxhall ones? Mine lasted about 50k or so on the back, but I brake like an old person!

Yep. Genuine Vx ones used at 81k, and again at 90k. They were the cheapest, believe it or not!

47535 miles, rear discs failed on original pads which were worn down to minimum tolerance

That's 20K miles more than on my previous Vectra B

That replacement set of discs has just worn out, on three sets of pads, those pads each lasting about 25K miles

I think my rears have lasted well because I changed the discs at the same time pads were I think EBC.
