    Default Heater gone belly up?

I have just bought a 2003 Vectra DTI 2L. there turns out to be a few (hopefully) little faults with it. but the main one is the heater / blower has stopped working? It was working on the top setting onlyto clear the windows, but then just stopped. Any ideas as to what it might be as i'm in the navy and trying to find time to get to the gaurage is hard and expensive! Cheers

Resistor is most likely away. Easy fix for a resistor pack from the dealers or if your handy with a soldering iron its less than a quid for the part from maplins.

try your fuse box first just before you buy a resistor pack.

Resistor can be tricky. Once you locate it, it's simple. Pollen filter a doddle. If your motor only worked on Speed 4, your resister fuse will be shot. If it's now gone off altogether, I'd be looking at the main fuse for the blower. Not sure if it's in the end of dash or the boot, but I'm sure someone will confirm very soon. Don't replace the resistor until you've cleaned out the scuttle tray
