    Default Immobiliser fitted?

    Does anyone know if my 05 Sri vec will of come from factory with an immobiliser fitted? It does have an alarm as standard just don't know if it's immobilised as well? What you reckon? Thanks guys.

    All new cars built from 1999 had immobilisers fitted. Yours def has.

    yes your car should be fitted with an immobiliser i have 02 sri that has one dont know where they are in the car.

    and most had them fitted from around 1994 when the joyriding reached epic proportions (Escort XR3i's, Metro Turbos, Astra GTEs, etc)

    Cheers sebadee, and big dave- I had a astra gte 16 valve and can remember you were unable to get insurance for it unless it had one on, I had a vecta one fitted back in 1990! Oh they were the days lol
