    Default Signum window trim

Im not a fan of the silver/chrome window trim at the bottom of the window (outside the car).
Can these easily be swapped out? I can remember covering these with black electrical tape years ago in a escort!

Also the trim on the rear door between the windows has seen better days, the paint on the metal part has bubbled and is pealing off, can this part be changed?

I cannot remember what its called but the BMW owners use a "tape" to de chrome their motors. Always looks very successful when its done. IIRC there isn't a non chrome trim for the signum as there was for the vec.

Cant find any on ebay Might try halfords later.

Looks like the rear window trim issus is common, check out the pillar between the glass here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-SIGNU...item3eff51c10d

Now can this be removed? Was thinking of sanding down, protecting then somehow cover in a matt vinyl?

    Cheers

I've "blacked" mine off using gloss black vinyl from eBay.

Also covered by B pillar trims as they were damaged and the horizontal bits of the chrome front foglight surrounds.

    Cheers Keif.

Bought a meter of the Matt black vinyl and have done the Pillars and the Chrome trim, looking good.
I took some pictures along the way, let me know if anyone wants a how 2.

    What it was like

I like that, the matt black suits the Blue well.
