Question Fault or Feature? - Electric Mirrors

    Hi Guys,

I'm pretty certain it is a fault but thought I'd better check before calling the dealer! When I press the left wing mirror adjust button on the drivers door console and use the multi way joypad it moves the left mirror only as expected but when I press the right wing mirror adjust button the multi way pad moves both wing mirrors together!

What d'ya reckon ... fault or feature?

Also does anyone know anything about Evans Halshaw Vauxhall in Stockport ... never used them before but thinking of taking it into them as they are quite close to where I now work.

    Cheers!

    Dave

Wow ... Just checked the manual (yes I know I should have done that first RTFM to me) and that's indeed what it says ... just one question ... why!?!?! and why not change the flippin' symbol to give the driver an idea! My 03 plate Veccy didn't do this. Well glad I didn't make a fool out of myself at the Dealers! Thanks Guys!

You get in and set the mirrors. mrs gets in and moves the seat, to move the mirrors so she can see, only has to adjust the drivers mirror and the passenger one moves the same distance. You get back in and again, only the drivers side to adjust to get back to where they were. Simple idea really.

Ok I can see that benefit but not the side to side too ... surely wouldn't want both to move left or right together I dunno ... now I know it's a feature I'll evaluate it's usefulness properly

I had another play with my mirrors this morning and in fact they don't move left together, they close in together and open out together ... so actually it is quite a useful feature ... cheers guys!

I've been to Evans Halshaw in Stockport a couple of times - nothing to report either way - absolutely ordinary.

I have to say it's a really useful feature when reversing... I always leave mine set on the drivers side so i can dip them when reversing.

Pitty they didn't put the BMW feature of auto dipping when in reverse.
