Open the panel on the left hand side of the boot, and find the empty fuse slot next to the 40A fuse - that's an "always live" 12v supply. Just wire it up and get a 12v power socket from Maplins.
Theres a how2 for this somewhere.
My wiring for my towbar equires a 12v power supply( for the relay bypass thing) will using a perm live give me a flat battery if left long enough?
Permanent live simply means you can still use whatever you've plugged into it even if the ignition is off - whether that will drain your battery depends entirely on what you connect it to and how much power its using - will your towbar be using power all the time? I suspect not....
Would you prefer an ignition live?
Ignition live would be better I think. Not sure if the relay bypass box would draw power even if there was no trailer connected?
You can use F17 mate. Get one of THESE then you can fuse the original circuit and also protect the take off independently.
Never seen one of those before. Cheers that should do the trick.
