    Default ****** typical!!

Well I got home from work tonight & I was gonna have a tinker under the bonnet. Went to pull the bonnet release lever & the cable popped out of it.

Tried pulling the cable with some pliers & it was totally solid, couldn't shift it!!

I have done a bit of a search on here & it does look like I can get to the actual catch under the bonnet if the car is on ramps or over a pit.

Just wondering if anybody with a V6 has had this prob? as i imagine there's a lot less room to get your arm or something up to the catch compared with a 2.2 or something!!

    Git it sorted!!

had to break the grill off as i couldn't see the catch through it at all. Once the grill was off there was a plastic shroud i had to remove to get access to the catch.

I then squeezed my hand through the small gap between the rads & slam panel & hooked the catch with a long bit of wire. Gave it a good yank & hey presto!! job done!!

I then managed to find another grill on ebay this morning that was only 20mins away!! So 2hrs & £15 later i'd got the cable connected back onto the release catch & the new grill fitted!!
