knocking noise at rear

As above my 2.2 has developed a knocking noise when going over bumps around the rear behind the drivers side and sounds as if its under the car, its just passed an mot but could it be a link bush or something, any ideas

ive got a noise at the back
its my parcel shelf try taking it out and
see if it still does it

also mine was bushes

will do I will take it out in a mo and go for a test drive and let you know

well removed parcel shelf and checked spare wheel to make sure that was screwed down tight, still had a knock when going over speed ramps only when done with off side rear not near side rear, the knock was like a small hammer tap from what seamed like the under side of the car

i would have thought that they checked the springs at mot
and the shock absorbers for leaks

rear bushes i was thinking

this might sound silly but is it a metallic sound? I had one doing my head right in then notices my rear plastic arch liner had come loose lol

sounds like arb rear bushes

That seams a good place to start, I was also thinking it might be the upper control arm bushes, BTW does a vec c have rose bushes like a vec b

yeah. took mine to get checked out a few weeks back. Ended up getting to rear shocks(change in pairs) ps upper control arm and Rear arb's. But alot better now.

one less thing to worry about for a good while.
