Yep had mine done last week, big difference, it gets too hot in the car now and seeing the temp gauge sitting at 85 all the time looks odd after mine always struggling to get off 70.
ive been banging on about thermostats for ages mine never moved now it runs at a constant 85 all the time
if your temp gauge dosnt get up too at least 85 then get the thermostat changed
Diesels do warm up slower it's fact.!
Also if giving advice it's better to be honest and explain not all thermostats will be knackered from the cold spell as many have found there's to be working just fine and have saved money by not buying one.
Yes some will be faulty and a petrol gets hotter much faster than any diesel & next year if you want hot cars on a morning fit a Webasto heater to your cars a clever little boiler that heats up the coolant while your in your bed and at first turn it's nice and warm.

nice price
if you want it for you boat
No mate that one is for a truck or boat which blows warm air.
This is what you want:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WEBASTO-12V-DI...item588c7f11f3
The above is fitted into the coolant system and heats up the coolant to whatever heat setting you want at what intervalls like every 2hrs for 40 mins etc.
A cracking system and fitted to many top cars as standard but not vectras.
