Default Routing of amp cabling etc

    Hi guys,

I've got myself an amp and sub ready to go into my Vectra. However after much searching and coming up with nowt, I have to ask: Where should I route my power leads / RCAs??

A little info on what I want:

My sub and amp are to go on the right hand side of the boot. Temporarily the amp will be screwed to the back of the seat until I have time and decent weather to make up a panel on the right side.

I've heard its best to run power cables and RCA's separately but all opinions are what not are welcome!

Run your cables down the passenger side of car

There is an unused gromit behind glovebox next to pollen filter which you can use to get access from the cabin into engine bay

Yup, down the passenger side. Never had an issue with running RCA's and power cable together before.

Run the power cable down the passenger side and the RCAs down the driver's side, you don't always get interference if you run them together but why take the chance?

Picture below, take the glove box out and this is the grommet everyone's referring to that's behind it, pic shows mine after routing a 4 gauge cable through the side of it.

It's not always that you'll get interference but is possible I ha an issue when running 0gauge wiring through my corsa never took the chance after that it's something to do with the positive current that creates a magnetic field and interferes with the current in the phono leads, shopud be ok with newer cars though as they tend to be better earthed.
