Default DMF, Clutch and bushes changed

Changed my clutch, flywheel, gearbox oil and anti roll bar bushes today.

    It drives so much smoother.

No more rattling and notchyness when the engine is cold (Although I never knew there was a problem till I drove it after the work was done)

Noticed both my inner rack joints had slight play so going to change them and thats all the jobs done that I need to do

It was still moving ok (well too much lol)

The play was in and out which is why it was still moving ok but rattling.

How long did it take you? I am attempting mine this Friday with a mate. Allowing all day, is it possible in a day? We are both reasonably ok with spanners.

    Default dmf!

Hi, I found one of your old posts regarding changing the dmf, I have a vec cdti 150 & i get some rattling & off balance type chugging on tick-over (more when cold), There maybe something else but the dmf throwing an in balance isnt helping things, Is it really do-able on the floor or better over a pit, I understand half or all of the sub frame has to be dropped? only undoing half will preserve the front end alignment i presume but dropping it completely would be a different matter, If you could give some pointers i would be great-full, cheers .

Not tried it over a pit but wouldn't attempt it on the floor.

Its a heavy box and really needs 2 people to manoeuvre it out.
