confused Swap TID to GID OBD pins?

I'm gonna attempt to do this on my 2.0 dti 2002. I have looked through the how2 and it shows adding extra pins to obd port 3 and 11 and maybe 12 as well. But I already have pins in these locations in my port. Do you think this mod has been done before on my car and removed? Or are they doing something else?

    Thanks!

If they are there then maybe it has been done before but my guess is it's factory fitted check you have the wires going to TID/GID

Well it would be nice to think they are already there I'm gonna have a look at the plug later see what's there and post back.

The way I am looking at the pins is top row 1-8 reading left to right and 9-16 bottom row left to right. Am I looking at it the right way?

    Thanks for your replies!

Thanks for showing me the light!!!

I have just fitted my GID really easy job! I was just wondering if I was missing something? As I can use the bc control on the stalk to access mpg, instant consumption etc without getting it tec2d. And it clears the wiper water level low symbol too. Does it do something else or is it all working already? I hope it's all ok!

    Thanks for your help!

Yo, glad it all worked out. I also shorted the washer sensor connector to stop getting the message. I was just too lazy to fit the sensor

WHERE WOULD I FIND THE HARNESS TO SHORT IT OUT? IS THAT AN EASY JOB TO DO OR IS IT A PAIN IN THE ASS? COZ THERE ISNT REALLY ANY ROOM ROUND THE WIPER BOTTLE TO PLAY AROUND AND DONT FANCY STRIPPING OFF FRONT END TO GET TO IT!!!

SUPPOSE IF THAT IS THE CASE THEN IT MIGHT BE WORTHWHILE FITTING THE SENSOR ANYWAY?

JUST DID A 14 MILE RUN AND SHOWED THAT I WAS GETTING 74 MPG! LOL
    BET THAT DOESNT LAST LONG!
