    Default driving licence

Well guys i got 3 points in 2009 feb for parking on a zigzag, and i went and paid the fine and got the points written on my licence.

i changed address recently and sent my licence away for that effect and its come back with no points listed on either the card or paper?

so do i presume i dont have points?

    Parking on pedex markings
PCN Endorsement is normally MS99 3 points and £60

It looks like an error by DVLA
What you might want to do is write to the DVLA and ask them to list any and all current and previous recorded convictions and endorsements
The letter has to be sent by the person named on the driving licence and from the same address, including the licence number

Equally, write to the court that applied the endorsement, get a confirmation of the endorsement that applies

Finally, you can perform a DPA request on your own criminal record, but only once you have received both replies from the above
This costs £10 from your local constabulary

    I encountered a similar discrepancy in 2001
The licence was returned as full UK instead of provisional
The court agreed a provisional should be issued, the DVLA responded that they had correctly issued a full UK from the details received from the court
After further discussion at the court they agreed they would not take any further action as more than 3 months had passed in resolving the matter
Ironically, 6 months later the driver received a letter advising they had checked their records and found the original licence had been issued in error and should be returned
I checked with the local constabulary and they confirmed the driver was shown as now holding a provisional licence

Always been this way for zig zags mate, 3 points & fine.

Just remember that most insurance companies ask for the last 5 years etc so be careful what you say

Although it sounds like, luckily, your points are off, the dvla will probably still think otherwise and there will still be a
    Microfiche record...

it's quite common for dvla to do this... the points do still count until they have properly expired so just be careful

it wasnt a court that issued the points, the points where added on in the office where i paid the fine, she wrote them on the licence (counter part) when i paid the fine.

    Well that is wrong
The court need to record your licence and then return it to you

As above, write to the DVLA first and ask for full details of all convictions and endorsements
Once you have that reply, contact the relevant court

I suspect you will find they did not record the offence, and all you have ended up paying is the fine
