    Angry Climate control blows cold

    Hi,
I just picked up my insignia sports tourer 2.0 Cdti SRi on Friday but have discovered that the climate control is useless. No matter what setting I put it on it blows freezing cold, as if the aircon is permanently on. I found out the hard way, I've just got back from a 400 odd mile round trip in the pouring rain. Therefore I had to have some form of air fan blowing on the windscreen to stop it misting up. Therefore I and my family were absolutley frozen when we got home. I've felt all the pipes leading to the heating system, all very hot. Has anyone else had this problem?

    Regards

    Steve

    Me Too -
but what I can't work out is that at home I have a superduperelectronicgizmoptogrammeablethermostat and we are toasty warm in the house when it's set at 18.5 degrees C - so why is it we are toasty warm when the aircon in the car says 21? - must get a decent thermometer...

That's it I've had enough already. The service dept at the dealers didn't give a stuff. They parked it up for two hours, started it. They felt warm air so said no fault found. I asked them to run the diagnostics using the TIS2Web system (would take them less than 5 minutes) but no they couldn't be arsed. They were right about the warm air though. It's now that hot that I've burnt my hand on the little button on one of the vents. This heat was generated by switching the temp to LO and turn the fan speed off. Any other setting would mean an increase in heat. If I switch the aircon on it gets hotter. Enough is enough, time to go back and if they don't sort it then they can shove it where the sun don't shine. I'm not having my 9 year old daughter freeze to death of burn herself because some poxy dealer just can't be arsed.
Sorry for the rant, but as such a great car is being ruined by the lack of interest from the dealers would explain why vauxhall are struggling.
