Thumbs up Exhaust emissions resolved for £10

    Hi,

Wasn't sure where to post this but I thought I should let other people know about it as it has just worked for me.

I was putting my dad's old Toyota Avensis 1.8 petrol through the MOT and it failed in the emissions test. The guy at the garage said it needed a new lambda sensor and a new CAT.

Went to the local car parts shop and the lad in there recommended a product called 'Peak Performance' which is a 'liquid de-coke' solution and cost £10.

He was so confident in it he even offered a full refund if it didn't work!

I put it in the fuel tank and took it for a spin on the motorway for about 30 miles and went to the garage for a re test.

The result was a pass on the emissions and a 12 month MOT ticket issued along with a couple of hundred quid saved. Even the guy at the MOT place was surprised. I think they do a product for diesel cars too?

I don't work for this company or anything like that but thought it may save other people in the same situation a few quid. I didn't know anything about these sorts of products until he mentioned it and I would have probably forked out cash replacing parts unnecessarily.

For £10 its got to be worth a punt if you are in the same situation?

Mods: if this is in the wrong section please move it. Sorry!

I think it's aimed more at the product than the car?

Had a diesel van that failed emissions, filled it with 20litres of veggie oil from Makro from empty and it passed with zero emissions ;-)

    Arrow

All the taxi drivers in my area use it before they go for their MOT's,as the council's MOT standards have higher requirements than the bog standard ones for private cars. They swear by these products, although they are a that bit more expensive. (I,myself in fact, use the Peak Performance diesel additive on a regular basis). FELIXX.
