    Default Damn swirl valves

    Well had the car a few weeks now and all was good untill I had a look around the engine today and noticed the swirl valve lay there looking sorry for itself it's a 1.9 cdti Sri 04 pre face with 107000 on the clock gonna try the £1 fix as I'm completely skint

    hi mate iv just had mine replaced at dealer cost me £700 mine is a facelift sri cdti 150.

    it has to be the first thing you check on the car before you buy a CDTi 1.9 150, at least then you can negotiate a lower price or walk away. I hope the fix works for you but to be honest the only fix is a replacement

    it was attached when i got the car plus as a bonus the car was a gift from the family as i have a little one on the way

    if your not particullaly agile with a spanner i'd suggest you get someone else to do it ! its a PITA job
