Thumbs up Had an excellent result at the "scrapies" today!!.

Went to the local scrap yard to day, just to see what they had in,as you do.Well,an "05" Astra had just arrived but it was a 120,(I was looking for a 150 to get the EGR valve off),any way, came away with a new looking boost valve and a complete air box with MAF sensor and ALL the ducting for £50!!.I don't think I've done too bad eh?,what do you think???????. FELIXX.

Well, the boost valve will always be useful,as for the air box,I've been thinking of a possible mod but didn't want to destroy the one on the car.All the ones I've seen on the bay were around £30 +postage,(without the MAF),so with the boost valve to boot,I can do what I need to do and it's not going to be money wasted.....I think??.FELIXX.

Good result, not sure if the MAF is the same between the two engines. A quick part number check should tell you tho

I thought that at the time, although it did look new. When I took the boost valve off,it was really gunged up but the bosch label looked brand new, that's what decided me to go for the MAF,(I took it,along with the ducting and jubilee clips, with the air box,all together like, and he didn't say anything!!).I feel that sometime in it's past, they have all been replaced as part of a,"my cars not running right" job. If I can't use it,I'll stick it up for sale on here or on ebay. FELIXX.
