Newbie with slight problem

Hi All I have just purchased my 2002 Vectra LS 1.8 and have enjoyed driving it for a few weeks now

Unfortunately the battery died on me recently and I have since been driving around with no radio as the stereo has locked itself in safe mode and requires an unlocking code.
I have been told that the unlock code are the last 4 digits of the stereos serial number. Is this correct or do I have to purchase a code from Vauxhall themselves?

I believe the stereo is a CRD2005

You should have a car pass with all the code's on mate.

All I got was the manual service book etc with the car.. It's usually on a business type card in the black case but there is nothing there..

Any ideas?

If you contact the dealer who originaly sold the car they may give you the radio code free of charge. Or you could try to contact the previous owner. Or go to any Vaux dealer with your v5c and around £20 for the carpass, its worth getting the pass as you may need it in future for any key or other programming issues.

i took my original head unit out and need the code for it, the card i have says important key number and has a 3 digit code on should the radio code be on here too? there is a small 4 digit no in the corner with 2 no's a dot then 2 more no's is this it? cheers.
