    Default ABS Light!

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me, I have searched the site but not found the exact same problem as mine!

The ABS light came on recently (during a dry day) and then wouldn't go out. I took a trip to Penfold's house to investigate the issue which reported back as "Front left ABS sensor low voltage or open circuit" which we decided that a new front hub from VX would do the trick. Part ordered £110 and was fitted today to find the light is still on and reporting the same error even after being cleared.

So £150 wasted due to inproper fault readings.

The garage I took it to suggested checking over the abs wires next then if that fails looking at a new ecu. The car runs perfect and just had a major service though

Does anyone have any ideas or know of know issues regarding my problem?

Sadly a lite ABS light is an MOT fail so it needs to be sorted!

    Thanks

    Hi mate,
Deffo check the wiring to the n/s/f hub between the connector in the the wheelarch and the hub. Start at the connector nearest the hub, strip back the outer covering from the harness and about half way up you will probably find a patch of wire that has gone green! Cut this bit out and solder the wires back together and then insulate them, this should solve your problem. HTH,

    Regards Mark.

Will that require the wheel and hub off again to check? ;(

Hi, should only require the wheel off, unless you have 19's then you probably wont need to remove them.
