    Default Stage III Insurance Quote

    lol

I've just called my insurance company and told them I'm thinking about upgrading the power to 350 BHP including new water radiator, new intercooler, new turbo, new injectors, new 3" exhaust downpipe and remap.

Guess how much they quoted me as an increase on my premium?

About the same % premium increase as the % gain in power as a general rule of thumb. So assuming your already at 300bhp, then 350bhp is an extra 17%

If your paying around a £1000 on insurance....I'm gonna go with an extra £200

Yes correct, so my net increase was from 305 BHP to 350 BHP = 15%

My insurance cost £470 (less admin fees) so an extra £70.50

I thought that was quite good

That is really good! You've got to be happy with that.

I wish I lived outside of manchester. Its costing me £970 on a standard car with 11 years no claims bonus and a clean licence. Although it was only £750 without my fiancee, shes a ****** liability! lol.

Still waiting for final pricing from Courtenays as I dont want the sports cats on the exhaust, so that will lower the price. But I also understand there is a problem with pricing on the Fuel Injectors which is why its being delayed.

    Just waiting now for prices..
